WHAT ADVANCED TECHNIQUES DO WE USE?

DERMAPLANING: Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation cosmetic procedure that gently abrades the dead layers of the skin using a surgical blade. The procedure aims to increase the absorption of topical products and diminish fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment stimulates collagen synthesis and creates a healthy glow and radiant complexion. Dermaplaning aims to make your skin surface smooth, youthful and radiant. It is also used to remove ‘peach fuzz’ the short soft vellus, non-terminal hair from your face.

MICRONEEDLING: The act of Microneedling creates multiple superficial puncture wounds, releasing growth factors that stimulate the fibroblasts creating new collagen and elastin. The aim of the treatment is to traumatise the skin without collateral damage to the epidermis and healthy tissue. Microneedling increases the availability of cell nutrients and helps to strengthen the collagen in vessel walls and connective tissue. It increases the density of the epidermis lessening the appearance.

PEELS: A chemical peel enhances and smoothens the texture of the skin. It is an effective treatment for facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven pigmentation, problematic skin and pustules. They exfoliate the outer layers of dead skin, revealing a new skin layer with improved tone, texture and colour. Skin peels have a very long history, Cleopatra bathed in sour milk (lactic acid) a component found in some skin peels and Polynesians and Caribbean’s used acids derived from sugar cane (glycolic acid). Peels can be a combination of AHA’s and BHA’s and can be formulated to different strengths to target skin conditions.
